I am looking for research that has identified the perceived barriers and benefits to householders reducing cosmetic pesticide use. I am also looking for information on programs that have successfully encouraged residents to reduce their pesticide use. Thanks in advance for any assistance that list members can provide with this.
Best,
Doug

Dear Doug:
You can read a brief analysis of the Florida Yards & Neighborhoods program in Central Florida adapted from an article for the AWWA and the City of Sanford, Florida. The FYN program educates on proper fertilization, appropriate chemical use in landscapes, reasons behind pet waste laws, water conservation, and non-source water pollution. http://cfyn.ifas.ufl.edu/winwin.pdf
