Hello,
I am trying to create a typology of commonly used message themes conveyed in energy saving ads and public service announcements (like social responsibility, cost saving, danger of natural catastrophy,...) and I could use some help. Here are my questions: Firstly, I was wondering if this was done before by anybody else. Secondly, I am looking for as many energy saving TV and print ads or PSAs as possible (some sort of database would be perfect). I will be grateful for any piece of advice! Thank you!
Regards,
Jernej

I think the best collection is on the creative gallery on sustainability communications from the UNEP. It is a database. http://www.unep.fr/pc/sustain/advertising/ads.htm

hi Jernej,
Matthew Nisbet and Dietram Scheufele recently published an article, "A typology of frames", in The Scientist online. It's not specifically energy related- it's about scientific issues in general- but a lot of the energy conservation messages out there fit into one of the frames they list.
