Hello All,
I am about to commission some research into people's attitudes / perceptions to waterway health in South East Queensland (SEQ). This includes a literature review to find what research in this area is already out there and what behaviour change programs have been carried out to improve / maintain waterway health. To be followed by a community social survey and focus groups with water stakeholders in SEQ so we have some baseline data and qualitative information to develop and evaluate future CBSM programs.
It would be great to know who has already carried out these activities and any help in finding existing research would be great (already seen some on this site). Cheers

The Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) has completed some initial assessments in our Watershed draining to the Mississippi River on Attitudes and Behavior change regarding Water quality.
1. Connecting Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviors Regarding Urban Water Quality : this report describes the survey instrument developed and the survey carried out to assess attitudes and behaviors of residents in an Urban neighborhood adjacent to the Mississippi River.
2. Building an Effective Strategy to Motivate Change in an Environmentally Positive Behavior: this report used a qualitative methodology to refine the findings of the first study so outcomes could be integrated into programmatic efforts of the MWMO.
We have also started similar efforts base on cultural lines vs geographic neighborhood boundaries. See our website for copies of these studies: http://www.mwmo.org/docs.html
