The Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. and the Environmental Defense Fund teamed up to produce "Vision Los Angeles," a 41-page plan with 15 strategies intended to improve the region's transportation network and quality of life. The report looked at ways to build upon the existing plans for the region by addressing needs such as the "last mile" problem and better use of technology to connect with transit.

Thanks for the update Parfrey. It great to see a comprehensive report like this which opens the door to effective sustainable transport solutions which are within reach. In my semester just finished at Murdoch Uni we surveyed the wide range of transport/urban design solutions implemented across the globe. It was most apparent to me that solutions are tested and ready to go and what is needed is to pay close attention the local situation/culture/requirements, mould the relevant solutions to those local needs and integrate up to the city wide/regional structures.
