SI is when either you produce more food using the same inputs or the same amount of food using lower inputs, the aim is to decrease the input output ratio by a steady percentage. We are a land owning conservation charity in Wales and we are considering using CBSM to investigate the success of specific interventions and then to promote them using social norms. I recall seeing a project somewhere in North America doing something similar by producing a booklet showcasing inputs and outputs achieved on a dozen or so farms which had adopted low input methods in a locality, does anyone have any details of this or similar projects in the developed world?
