I represent a small group of concerned professionals in the US who wanted to try an approach to modifying behavior that is slightly outside of what most public and service organizations could accomplish. To that end, we have independently created three PSAs addressing dog waste, cigarette littering, and cell phone use. Please keep in mind these will be slightly more aggressive than you are used to in this context. In short, it's what we'd all like to say, but are often unwilling or unable to act on. Feel free to use them as you like and comments are welcome. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQGq_dry3qOTth-LWQKx1Vw?feature=watch

Kathy,
They have been posted across several personal FB pages but only evaluated in a handful of intercepts. The feedback has been positive across all groups. But that just means it's entertaining. I was hoping to get some feedback on this forum and then to possibly take it to talk radio in my local area. If I could get some earned media there, it might open some doors. Feel free to post the link in any places you might find them appropriate. We're not interested in notoriety as much as testing the approach. If it can actually move some people from one stage of decision to another, perhaps others will look at ways to really speak the language of our target audiences.

Hey Alex - Thanks for sharing. They might be a bit more in your face than 'normal' but given what people listen to such as talk radio it might be where we are going these days to get people's attention. Anyway, curious how these have been used (local TV? FB ????) and has there been any evaluation?

Great PSA's! You nailed it when you said it's things we wish we could say. Not sure that any of our local governments would step that far out on a limb to use such language... never know. I could see an adaption for billboards put up by non-government sponsors.
Keep up the creatively good work! And, thank you for sharing!!

Alex, THANKS for sharing these.
I asked a younger-than-me colleague for comments on the cigarette PSA. She suggested a faster pace and more "professional" actors. We also wondered about including visuals illustrating how cigarette butts harm the environment and the "little steps" that are needed to make a positive difference.
