We are considering using the CBSM approach to develop and pilot strategies to improve the management of natural resources underpinning broadacre, dryland agricultural production in the south-west of Western Australia. Specifically we want to explore the barriers and benefits associated with a number of management options farmers can use to prevent or fix a number of soil related constraints such as low soil pH, sub-soil compaction and water repellence and develop and test strategies aimed at changing behaviour. if anyone has tried to do this or similar we are keen to hear from you.

We at the California Conservation Agriculture Systems Innovation Center have been conducting much literature search on the adoption of innovation and found a particularly interesting article by a fellow Aussie D.J. Pannell titled: "Understanding and promoting adoption of conservation practices by rural landholders". I think you'll find it equally useful in your endeavors.
