Has anyone been part of a social marketing campaign reducing single use plastics in this industry? I am launching a campaign to try and shift my local vendors to reusable or better alternative options. Looking to do some barrier and benefit research for the vendors and would love feedback!

Julie Cook reached out to me to see if I could weigh in on your question. I have done work in the area of single-use plastics but have not looked at the marijuana industry per se. Most of my work has been in the airline industry and live music events such as concerts/festivals. I am sure the marijuana sector faces quite different barriers. In Canada, for example, there are strict rules regarding packaging in terms of making sure it is child resistant and has a security feature, which limits packaging options. Generally, not much attention has been paid to the environmental unsustainability of this industry, so it is great that you have decided to look into options,
