Welcome to the Energy Crisis

Since the Arab oil embargo of 1973-1974, there has been increasing interest in studying problems related to the energy crisis. Psychological work in this area has been growing rapidly and the authors suggest that it is time to critically evaluate the current body of research. The purpose of this issue of the Journal of Social Issues is to aid in this endeavor by examining a number of the key ideas, emerging theories, findings, and methodologies that are guiding the research.
