Household Behavior and the Use of Natural Gas for Home Heating

Investigated the factors that determine energy use for home heating. Household behavior and home characteristics were the major determinants, whereas attitudes were of minor importance. Home insulation had 2 opposing effects on energy use: lower thermostat settings but more airing out of rooms. (6 ref)
