Human Ss: 130 normal male and female Dutch adults (chemistry students) (Exp 1). 121 normal male and female Dutch adults (psychology students) (Exp 2). 153 normal male and female Dutch adults (psychology students) (Exp 3). 982 normal male and female Dutch adults (Exp 4). 127 normal male and female Dutch adults (university students) (Exps 5 and 6). Exps 1-3 investigated availability and anchoring-and-adjustment in judging causes of environmental risks, and Exps 4-6 examined availability and anchoring-and-adjustment in valuing environmental goods.
