A number of new technologies are being promoted for replacing chemicals in water treatment systems while claiming to reduce scale, maintain biological and corrosion standards. The reduction of chemicals increases cycles saving water and cleaner systems are more energy efficient. LEED and Green Globe programs recognize some of these systems as 'GREEN". I am looking for feedback on success and failures from others trying these systems. Do any jurisdictions provide incentives to switch to these systems for the water and energy savings?

Thanks.
