In September, I posted a request for information on this list serv for information on sustainable agriculture. I received a great response - thank you to those who emailed me with suggestions, they have been very useful. I have another, more specific request. For our community-based social marketing project, we have identified three very specific sustainable agriculture practices including:
1. using solar powered offsite watering systems
2. using portable shelters as part of a wintering strategy and
3. avoiding spreading manure near water bodies, on steep slopes or on snow.
I am looking for examples where CBSM was used as a strategy to encourage these specific practices among livestock producers. I'm also interested in the barriers and motivators to the adoption of these practices by livestock producers.
Cheers,
Krista
