I am seeking examples or information on conducting sustainability audits for large-venue events. We have an opportunity to assist a four-day music festival with efforts to emphasize sustainability and are considering conducting an audit of the event. Has anyone attempted this at the event level?

Yes, I suggest looking at the Green Build site: http://2006.greenbuildexpo.org/Exhibitor/about_greening.asp they have audits from the past 4 years available and they have a pretty good measurement framework set up.
