On behalf of walkON, Health Action, Haldimand-Norfolk (Ontario, Canada) is accepting proposals from a qualified marketing and design consultant/firm to develop a comprehensive communication plan and creative design services for a community education campaign focused on walkable communities. Funding for the development of these components has been secured. The production/printing of marketing materials and communication plan implementation are dependent upon notification of additional funding. walkON is a collaboration of Central West communities involved in the Ontario Heart Health Program (OHHP) that have identified a need to support the development of walkable communities. We believe that we can build sustainable, walkable communities to improve the health of our citizens, our children and our environment. The mission of walkON is to promote the development of communities that support people-powered transportation. walkON is a regional project that provides support, expertise and resources to the following communities in Central West Ontario: Brant County, Halton Region, Haldimand and Norfolk Counties, Niagara Region, Waterloo Region and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph.
