Dear Friends,

I am looking for ideas, signs/messaging, and information that can assist parks in curbing the persistent litter problem. We have large problems in our parks that are on the Texas/Mexico border with heavy visitation by folks who are visiting in conjunction with large family & friends social gatherings. Traditional messaging is not working. A common response to park staff request for picking up personal litter is "that's what we pay the entrance fee for." The majority of the parks are located in low socio-economic areas with a large population of new immigrants from Mexico and Latin America. I appreciate any ideas or research that may have been done in this area!

Thanks!
Cappy Manly
