The Florida legislature passed a bill last session requiring all counties in Florida to design and implement a composting program for at least 5% of organics by July 1, 2010. So far, those counties that have tried composting have had difficulty selling their compost (or, in many cases, difficulty giving it away). If all 67 counties in Florida do start composting, I have a concern that our county, as well as others, will end up with tons of compost, with no end market. Does anyone have similar experience in their state, province or region where they had success marketing the compost?

Thanks,
Karen

P.S. I'd really like spell check for these submissions!
