Frank,
Thanks for the link. CIWMB's website has a lot of useful information that I've used in preparing for the composting classes I teach.
Andrea,
I would be happy to email you PDF files of our brochures and pop-up displays.

What a great first interaction with this website! Sorry if I have double posted.
I am interested in the pop ups and compost fair. I am holding THE FREE LUNCH Sept 2 based around methods of urban food production, naturally featuring composting and worm farms. You can see in the invite in my profile attachments I am using simple household props - wheely bins are great as they hold quite a lot, are robust and mobile, make good wheel barrows, can have graphics or decoration easily added, can easily be drilled into and modified, are water proof, make a good music drum, can be converted into a compost bin, water tank, mobile plant pot, "oven" or "water heater"(fill one with lawn clippings and put it in full sun for a day or so)or even a composting toilet. etc. I am thinking of having a tv with dvd or a computer in one.
I also do poetry about such things (Food for thought attached) which I make short films of and do environmental art (see attached water poems and images - all material from bins).
Andrea, if you have anything specific you want, or would like something designed and built and not urgently (next few weeks are pretty hectic) I would be happy to put in a quote.
cheers, John

Hi Erin,
I am looking for an indoor display that can travel. Can you please tell me more on the pop up displays you have - do you happen to have a photo?
Thank you.

Andrea,
Are you looking for ideas for an indoor display that can travel, teaching props, or an outdoor display at a demonstration center?
We recently worked with a local graphics company to create six pop-up displays -- three on backyard composting and three on vermicomposting. We'll use these at libraries and indoor public venues. We've put on an outdoor Compost Fair several times. We recruit volunteers, usually our Master Composters, to staff the learning stations. We also have a permanent compost demonstration site.
If you could you be more specific about what you seek, we might have something that would be helpful to you.

Mr. McBain
The combination of found object art as a means of display is brillant.
Thank you
