I work as the both the research hydrologist and education coordinator at the Center for Cave and Karst Study at WKU. Not only do I perform the geophsical work for the center but also run a five class summer program for college students and professionals in the environmental field, but also am planning (because we just had a grant to go through) an environmental ed outdoor classroom!! We will be working with local k-12 students at the Lost River Cave and Valley (City Park) in teaching about karst, water testing and pollution control in karst ecosystems. We are just getting started , but having never done this before--I want to do it right!
