I am an Environmental Technician with the City of Bremerton. My current project has been to develop a multimedia public education and assistance program. The program is focused on developing basic knowledge of why the City has combined sewer overflows, what we are doing to reduce these events, why we are doing it and to help the private property owner to be part of the solution. We offer free technical assistance, pay for work in the right-of-way, and pay a predetermined amount for the work they do on their properties to separate stormwater from the sanitary sewer system.I am also involved with source and non-point source pollution prevention, water conservation, resource management and general public education activities for the City.
