I am currently a professional engineer specializing in matters concerning highrise and low-rise building envelopes. Specifically, the assessment of, rehabilitation of existing, and consulting for new construction. I also completed a Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture at UBC, my thesis titled Architects and Sustainability in the Context of Conventional Project Delivery. Over 4 years, I became focussed on the context in which individuals attempt to implement innovation. I am particularly interested in making competitive sustainable actions in terms of performance, capital cost, time, risk. Also, making the public and decision-makers aware of light vs. deep green management systems that support serious consideration of sustainable options. This interest relates primarily to the built environment: Buildings, urban and sub-urban development, from lenders to regulators to public and private developers to individual designers and the people that commute to and use the buildings.
