I work for a watershed management organization as a Coastal Island Project Co-ordinator. The project I am working on requires a great deal of thought into how to approach and involve private island landowners in our conservation efforts. I would like to educate them but the conservation of island habitats needs to be addressed in the near future, hence the need for effective social marketing strategies in order to effect the behavioural changes necessary to conserve ecologically sensitive areas on coastal islands.
