Currently, I am working with Waterford County Council as an assistant to the Environmental Education Officer. Waterford Co.Co. wish to publish a teacher pack for children between the ages of 4-11 on the environment in order to encourage children to act in an environmentally friendly manner. therefore i am very interested in environmental education and communication. i am also beginning the first year of my PhD. at University College Cork which will again involve fostering sustainable development by looking at road planting schemse and amenity areas as contributors to the conservation of native flora and fauna, i also hope to raise awareness in teh public and the local authorities of the value of such habitats.
