The NB Lung Association is committed to advancing action to clean up our air. My focus is two-fold. I am assembling an extensive literature base, identifying research needs in the area of pollution effects on health, and coordinating funding and researchers to address these needs. I am also involved in establishing an environmental centre representing the Lung Associations and other organisations in the New England States and Atlantic Canada. This centre will act as a research coordination centre, resource centre, etc. and will have as its main mandate the improvement of air quality in our shared airshed and thus improve human health.
