I am a county Extension Educator, and do Extension programs at local, regional and state levels. I provide information on preserving and enhancing wildlife habitats, focusing on backyard wildlife habitat and community forestry. I work with local citizen and muncipal groups to create municipal community forest boards, with citizen volunteer members. These boards create a forest management plan and policies to implement the plan; and educate residents to enhance and manage their yards for the health of the ecosystem. I write fact sheets and news columns to support my programs. My major interest is wildlife and habitat; I use community development methods in much of my work.
