I work with inner-city youth on (among other things) environmental topics, especially community gardening and recycling. I am on a citizens' committee to examine the municipal solid waste issues in our city, and am a member of the International Dark-sky Association, an org. that seeks to reduce light pollution. I am interested in all issues of sustainability, esp. those areas that can involve an "average" person and reduce each person's environmental "footprint". I have done various environmental projects in my career, esp. outdoor education for parks and museum settings. I am taking an environmental management course and am trying to decide what I would like to do next in this field.
