My primary interest is in education of nutrition as it relates to sustainability issues to improve lifestyle change compliance over time in patients and the general public. Current US agricultural and marketing methods are nutritionally ruinous and environmentally disasterous, with the notable exception of the organic sector. By linking the more direct personal imperative of nutrition and the more abstract but powerful perspective of sustainability I beleive both issues may be enhanced in the publics understandig. This understanding may then resonate into other areas of both private and public life leading to more lifestyle changes and hopefully a cultural tipping point.
