Our local chapter is working with municipal governments on the early stages of revision of the landfill, recycling and municipal waste program. We hope to extend the life of our landfill by reducing the flow to the landfill - thus avoiding creating a new landfill or becoming dependent on private landfills in the region, and reducing environmental degredation created by our expanding cities.
