I am the plant environmental coordinator for an electric generating station. We are developing an EMS to formalize our environmental stewardship procedures, and fostering environmental awareness education of our workers. Our ultimate goal is to seek ISO 14001 status. We are interfacing with our neighboring community to assist us with interactive feedback to our initiatives and are actively involved in on site research studies for pollutant reduction systems and measurement. Plant has an environmental cooperative agreement with the state department of natural resources to work together on plans that will benefit both entities.
