Waste Watch is the leading uk charity promoting waste reduction, reuse and recycling. I am managing a large new campaign (£4 million) to increase recycling and source reduce in 4 London Boroughs (1.2 million people) over the next 5 years. The campaign starts in October 2002 and will consist of intensive marketing and communication activities, community involvement, schools work and evaluation and monitoring. It will be delivered by 7 staff and is the biggest campaign of its kind in the UK to date. I have been very impressed by the Fostering Sustainable Behavior book and am keen to adopt the CBSM ideas and methodologies. We are limited in the UK at present by poor recycling infrastructure, no direct charging (user pay) systems in place, and no returnable deposit systems. So we need all the help we can get!Hope we can work together.
