We manage 7,000 acres of short grass prairie and offer education programs and experiences for about 20,000 people a year. Our programs help people understand the natural systems that support life and how humans have adapted and impacted those systems both historically and now in eastern Colorado. We advocate holistic management of the lands and are exploring grazing bison as one management tool. We are also anticipating building/renovating our facilities and will use sustainable design principles for energy reduction and environmentally neutral facilities.
