I'm probably viewed as someone who "might know" or "should know" about almost any environmental issue that might arise. I think the vision for my position would be broadly interpreted as being a person that strives to do whatever is needed to make the Town of Jasper and Parks Canada operation as environmentally sensitive as possible.My position as Environmental Stewardship Co-ordinator identifies the following key action items in it's job description: Contaminated sites, Fleet management (alternative fuels), Solid Waste Management, Water Conservation, Energy conservation, Pesticide Management, Ozone Depleting Substances, PCB's, Wastewater & stormwater management, Petroleum Storage tanks, and Hazardous Material Management. I'd also be interested in anything to do with communication of environmental messages, Parks, and people dealing with tourist communities/ international client-base.
