I work for an independently owned insurance agency and am passionate about planning and executing two campaigns within my building and agency:1) Being new to insurance I was appalled at the industry's exorbitant use of virgin paper stock. I am attempting to formulate a plan to replace our paper with paper containing post-consumer recycled content and eventually tree-free paper.2)We are tenants in a building that virtually ignores mandated recycling laws. I want to present statistics and information to the building management and help them formulate a plan (with us doing all of the legwork) to increase our building's recycling capacity, cut $ for trash pick-up and bring a campaign of trash & recycling issues to the forefront to educate our tenants (and management) on its importance. This is especially crucial since we live on an island and our landfill options are diminishing.
