Recycling, and other forms of sustainability, are anethema to the citizens of this desert city on the Colorado River. There have been no programs initiated prior to my tenure, to implement corrective action. As a consequence, the City is on an alternative diversion rate until 12/31/03. If there is no improvement perceived by CIWMB, it is possible that the City will be placed on a compliance program post 12/31/03. The selected activities below will be my focus to turn this situation around.
