Re: CD/DVD Recycling - Practices and Barriers

Hi Ying,
What sort of CD/DVD recycling program do you have in mind? Do you mean making unwanted CDs/DVDs available to others that might want to listen to/watch them, or are you wanting to physically the discs down to their raw materials?

CBSM Practitioners in Brisbane, Australia
2009-06-30 21:50:50 UTC
Hi all,
I am wanting to know about the people/organisations that are practising CBSM-inspired work in my town of Brisbane, Australia. As I know of no other resources that list practitioners, I thought I would post a message on this forum.
A little about me: I have a tertiary background in business management/marketing, and have spent almost 3 years working for the Australian Red Cross Blood Service in a donor liaison/recruitment-type role. Thinking beyond blood donors, I have been inspired by reading many books such as "Natural Capitalism" by Paul Hawken et al, "Natural Capitalism" (of course), and "The End of Charity" by Nic Frances. I am also the organiser of the "Green Drinks Brisbane" networking event: http://www.greendrinks.org/index.php?country=Australia&city=Brisbane
If you are out there reading this I'd love to get in touch and pick your brains. Please get in contact via stuat_mcmillen _at_ hotmail.com

I really like this project! Although not the normal music I listen to, these songs were quite catchy and certainly explained the habits that the program is hoping to instill in listeners.
Hopefully you can promote this to enough people in the community so that these habits become the norm amongst boaters! They seem like very easy things to do, but habits that many people would not have thought about.
