I'm the Research Officer in Waste Management at Hampshire County Council. At the moment we are currently carrying out a major piece of research looking into lifestyles and behaviour towards recycling as well as developing a waste minimisation action plan. This research is coming to an end and we are hoping, in light of the findings, we can take it a step further looking into issues around sustainable consumption and why we are turning into such a 'throwaway' society.
