Does anybody have any examples of the application of the community based social marketing weighting methodology for selecting behaviours?

Thanks Nicole, Norm and Jo. That is excellent advice, and it should be part of any initiative to tackle the issue of personal heaters in the workplace.

Personal heaters
2014-01-16 13:52:40 UTC
Does anybody have any good examples of ways of getting people to give up their personal heaters in the workplace (without an outright ban) ?
Possibly exerting peer pressure via competitions between buildings or floors could contribute, or adding some fun through ugly sweater competitions, but maybe only short-term.
I would be interested to hear any suggestions that you may have.
Best regards,

Green Teams/Environmental Champions
2012-06-12 06:52:21 UTC
Hi all,
I am looking for research into the issue of green teams or environmental champions.
By green teams / environmental champions I am referring to specific groups of employees, regardless of discipline or organizational level, who devote additional time and effort (beyond their normal job role) to facilitate the practical implementation and promotion of sustainable operations principles in their organisation, i.e. companies or public sector organisations, but NOT community based green teams. I am NOT interested in research on champions at senior management level who may act as a figure-head to help drive through environmental initiatives within an organisation.
If you know of any research on this issue I would be interested in hearing about it.
I am already aware of the following research / reports:
Green Teams and Value: Engaging Employees in Meeting Sustainability Goals [AltaTerra Research, 2010].
Generating sustainable value: Moving beyond green teams to transformation collaboratives. [Ackerman et al, Dominican University of California. Sabre Holdings, 2010].
GREEN TEAMS - Engaging Employees in Sustainability [Deborah Fleischer, Green Impact, 2009].
Corporate Green Teams: A New Social Trend at Work? A Conference Report and Research Summary [Hohl and Bray, AltaTerra Research, 2008].
Individual Environmental Initiatives: Championing Natural Environmental Issues in U.S. Business Organizations [Andersson and Bateman, 2000]
Thanks,
Brian

In fact energy certification of buildings used by the public, and prominent display of this certification is a requirement throughout Europe. See http://www.display-campaign.org/ab_839_943
The Display Campaign http://www.display-campaign.org/spip.php is a programme that facilitates public display of building energy certificates.

Hi Hale,
I'm also interested in the information on the paired signs campaign. If sending information, please add me to the list. Thanks.
