Re: Communicating the Anti-Idling Message

We've distributed key tags and ice scrapers. The key tags were shaped like a boot with the tag line, "Kick the Habit". They were very popular.

Re: Community vs. Business Target Audience

We have had good success partnering with some of the larger employers, such as insurance companies, the university, health region and the steel mill. It has taken a few years, but now they come to us, asking to join!

Re: Vehicle Idling Awareness Efforts

So true, Matthew. thank you for the reminder of the actualities of the idling argument. I for one agree with you. As an Emissions Reduction coordinator with a canadian municipality, I've been 'fiddling around the edges' of the idling issue for a few years now. We're just embarking on a proposal to partner with businesses to provide "Idle Free Zone" signs. Perhaps if we put up enough signs, we'll start to get more support for a bylaw. What are your thoughts on idling bylaw?

Looking For Vehicle CO2 Comparisons
2007-05-15 06:19:50 UTC
I am looking for comparison numbers or graphs showing the difference in CO2 emissions from different modes of transportation, ie. single occupant vehicles vs buses vs bicycles and/or walking.
Thank you.
