Garbage Collection
2008-01-10 14:39:57 UTC
Eureka Recycling has done an extensive survey of weekly vs. bi-weekly for recycling collection. I'm not sure about strictly trash.

Is there any written analysis on changing garbage collection system to biweekly (i.e. weekly collection of garbage would no longer be a service option)?

Curriculum on Global Warming
2007-08-21 09:27:07 UTC
Dear All -
A colleague and I are putting together a series of activities for an after-school program on topics of recycling, composting and reducing waste. We would like to include activities on global warming. Since this is an after-school program (varied age groups, no tests), we are looking for hands-on activities especially. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Yes, Debbie Nelson ([email protected]) is the teacher who led the Granada High School students to become the Go Green School of the Year for 2006. Her class did a survey of high school students that led to some tremendous changes in attitude on their campus. A report we did on a local Go Green effort called Teen P.R.I.D.E. (see attached) documents the efforts of other middle and high schools in the Bay Area that conducted student to student surveys.
