John, a great resource on grazing practices is On Pasture. You can find them at onpasture.com. They've been doing a lot of research and have great practical practices that come from both research and experience. Their organization is called Livestock for Landscapes and they are located in Loveland Colorado.

Contact the International Society of Arboriculture - there should be a chapter in Australia. You can also check out this web page - http://www.treesaregood.com/treecare/tree_benefits.aspx

Re: Has Anyone Evaluated a Riverfront Trail/Walk?

Beth - we are in the process of developing a master plan to extend our 20 mile trail system. Part of the new section is near our downtown and there is lots of interest in making connections between the trail and downtown. Of course there are always those that question why money should be spent on these types of amenities. I would love to see your thesis when it is completed. I also encourage you to go to the American Trails website, www.americantrails.org as they have an extensive research library on-line.
