Challenges
2012-03-05 11:12:01 UTC
We just concluded a general Sustainability Challenge for City employees and about to launch an Energy specific one related to our Fort ZED Project. Fort ZED is a zero-discharge district we are creating in the City. Attached is the sustainability Challenge I can email Fort ZED version as soon as it is finished. That Challenge will be March 7- April 11. I thought it would be FUN if Fort Collins could compete against another municipality. Any takers?

FUN Challenge - Give a Watt: Pedal It Forward
2011-05-18 15:35:57 UTC
We kicked off a fun Earth Day Challenge that ends today. We placed energy harvesting bikes at the CSU campus and had students ride for eight hours; the bikes were hooked up to a LED computer which displayed energy and transportation tips and the energy to a non profit in town (e.g. Bike Coop. We also had people sign a pledge with ten transportaion tips and I calculated $ and environmental savings.
Also I am teaching the Sustainability for Municipality class for CU - Boulder 9-5 June 3rd. Come for a visit!
