New Online Environmental Communication Course Offered by International Environmental Communication Association
2014-05-06 11:28:38 UTC
This summer the IECA will be offering a new online course from June 9 to July 17, 2014:
Environmental Communication: Research into Practice
This course will explore how the most relevant research and theory from fields such as communication, psychology and political science can be used to improve the practice of environmental communication. We will examine how language, images, and media come together in advocacy and social marketing campaigns, and other forms of public participation for environmental protection. We will consider how environmental communication is used to accomplish practical goals, as well as how it affects people's perceptions of nature and environmental affairs. To do this we will use readings, examples, cases, mini lectures, discussions, and the insights of leaders in the field. Participants will work on environmental communication projects that are relevant to their specific interests.
Details about the course are posted on our website.
Hopefully some of you will be interested in taking the course.
Also, we would really appreciate it if you would PLEASE share this with your networks, and your social media followers.
Thanks!
