The University of Maryland Office of Sustainability is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to lead efforts to strengthen our culture of sustainability among the 55,000 students, faculty, and staff at the College Park campus. It's a great opportunity for a practitioner in the science of behavior change.
We're seeking candidates who have experience fostering sustainable behavior using best practices from social science research. The Outreach Coordinator will take our Green Office program to new heights and be a driving force for motivating the campus community to solve some of the greatest challenges of our time.
The Coordinator will join a team of seven professional staff members in the Office of Sustainability. We are a passionate group who are serious about delivering measurable results but also know how to step away from work and enjoy all the other parts of life. This is a rare opportunity for a permanent position in our office.
UMD employees enjoy excellent benefits including low-cost health insurance, tuition remission, and lots of leave including 14 holidays, 22 days of annual leave, 15 sick days, and 3 personal days. There's also paid parental leave.
The starting salary for this position is in the $55,000 - $60,000 range.

The Office of Sustainability at the University of Maryland is growing! We are seeking a Sustainability Communications Coordinator!
The Sustainability Communications Coordinator will be experienced in communications and social marketing within a large organization. The Coordinator will be responsible for the development of effective and targeted communication and marketing campaigns that facilitate the implementation of sustainability programs on campus. The Coordinator's primary focus will be in support of sustainability campaigns sponsored by the Office of Sustainability and Facilities Management (e.g. Recycling and Solid Waste Unit and Energy Office) as well as other departments collaborating on campus-wide sustainability initiatives.
