ASSOCIATE PROGRAM MANAGER is an integral part of CCSE's California Solar Initiative ( CSI) Program team, which provides incentives to residents and businesses who install solar electric generating systems on their property. The associate program manager works under the general supervision of the CSI program manager. The associate program manager serves as CCSE's representative having primary responsibility for interfacing with homeowners, businesses, and contractor installing solar PV. The associate program manager is responsible for managing approximately 250 projects per year and is responsible for all project review, customer and contractor interface, database entry and maintenance, and solar installation tracking. The associate program manager is responsible for making program incentive payment determination totaling roughly $1,250,000 per year. This position requires extensive interactions with solar contractors and their customers to ensure all program requirements are conveyed effectively. The associate program manager must be able to manage their workload and schedule to process project applications which varies significantly over time. $41K - $55K / annual
The PROGRAM ASSISTANT will form an integral part of CCSEs solar team, which provides incentives to residents and businesses who install solar energy systems. The Program Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to the CSI Program Manager and other members of the CCSE team. The Program Assistant will play a vital role in database maintenance, tracking solar installations and managing incentive applications, and will interact extensively with solar installers and their customers. The Program Assistant must be able to anticipate the needs of the Program Manager and team, and prioritize their workload and schedule to meet these needs. $13 - $19 / an hour.

The California Center for Sustainable Energy ( CCSE) is hiring a marketing associate to support our mission to facilitate the adoption of clean, sustainable energy. He/she will support our energy efficiency/building performance team to raise awareness about CCSEs clean energy technologies and programs for homes, businesses and nonprofit or government organizations.
Responsibilities for the Marketing Associate for building performance include developing marketing and communications materials in support of the Energy Upgrade California brand; delving into market research and segmenting customers to ensure the right message gets to the right people; working with contractors and other stakeholders to support their marketing efforts and supporting CCSEs efforts to provide exceptional customer service. The right candidate will bring an evangelical desire to improve how Californians live in their homes and be a curious, creative and ambitious big-picture thinker with excellent attention to detail and follow through.
As a member of the marketing team, the marketing associate will coordinate marketing strategy and tactics for his/her program team, lead an organization-wide marketing initiative such as advertising or social media, and help implement cross-cutting CCSE campaigns that incorporate other aspects of our mission including renewable energy and clean transportation policy and education. The Director of Policy will be an integral part of an accomplished team of CCSE executives who develop and implement CCSEs vision for clean energy in California. The Director of Policy is responsible for identifying and influencing policy matters that support CCSEs core mission and strengthen its long-term development. S/he will identify and pursue policy opportunities that sustain and expand CCSEs role and impact. S/he will guide CCSEs regulatory and legislative activities, as well as develop strategic policy initiatives and lead advocacy on key topics within CCSEs areas of influence. The Director and his/her staff of 3-5 professionals will support and leverage CCSE programs to enhance CCSEs relevance and position in the marketplace.

CCSE is hiring a Regional Program Manager to lead the execution of CCSEs Department of Energy ( DOE) Southern California Regional Rooftop SunShot award and serve as the companys senior staff member in the Los Angeles area region. The position will responsible for coordinating activities across the eleven jurisdiction project team, managing relationships with local governments, participating utilities, and project partners. In addition to SunShot-related activities, the Manager will use their presence in Los Angeles to strengthen CCSEs position in the region, by engaging with stakeholders (local governments, utilities, air quality management/pollution control districts, NGOs, etc.) to identify, evaluate and expand business opportunities.

CCSE is hiring a senior education and outreach manager to liaise closely and regularly with program and marketing staff, and manage day-to-day and long-range activities that support CCSEs mission and operational goals and serve a diverse slate of stakeholders. This will include development of online educational modules, workshops and training curriculum for in person and online delivery, as well as expansion of outreach activities and the CCSE volunteer program. This manager will be the primary organizational leader for workforce development initiatives. CCSE is hiring an Associate Program Manager to work on aligning local and state plug in electric vehicle ( PEV) infrastructure planning approaches to support and expand the PEV market throughout California. Under supervision of the Program Manager, the Associate Program Manager will identify PEV readiness best practices and guidelines in San Diego County which will result in the development of a handbook for contractors and local government agencies. This handbook will provide the framework for multi-day workshops targeting city officials and planners throughout the County of San Diego.

Associate Program Manager - BetterBuildings San Diego HERO Alliance
SALARY: $41,797 - $52,246
CCSE is implementing Energy Upgrade California, a statewide set of programs with the goal of directly assisting the residential energy efficiency market to scale up quickly and sustainably.
One of these programs, BetterBuildings, is a United States Department of Energy-funded initiative that encourages communities, state and local governments, private-sector companies, and non-profit organizations to work together on pioneering programs that deliver energy efficiency improvements across neighborhoods throughout the country. This program aims to develop and test innovative program designs that promise to significantly decrease energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in the San Diego region.
Our Retrofit team has an immediate need for a BetterBuildings Associate Program Manager (APM). The APM will be responsible for leading the implementation of a community based social marketing campaign that encourages military veterans to upgrade their homes. The APM will also be responsible for working with local retailers to promote Energy Upgrade California.
