Examples of Barriers and Benefits surveys
2015-12-09 23:31:48 UTC
Hello. We are at the stage of developing a Barriers and Benefits survey and are interested to see some B&B survey examples that you may like to share. Our theme area is invasive animal management, but we are keen to see some examples of surveys from other themes as well - if you are willing to share them and think they would be instructive. You can always email directly to me at [email protected] or post them to this site.
Many thanks.

New Publication: Behaviourally Effective Communications for Invasive Animals Management: A Practical Guide
2015-06-22 00:40:34 UTC
This practical guide was developed by a team, led by Prof Don Hine, at the Invasive Animals Cooperative Research Centre in Australia. It focuses on behaviourally effective communications principles and practices for invasive animals management. The practical guide is also relevant for biosecurity and NRM communications more broadly.
You can find it at the following PestSmart link:
http://www.pestsmart.org.au/behaviourally-effective-communications-for-invasive-animals-management/
Please share this with any other people in your networks that you think may have an interest in this type of publication.
We are also keen on feedback as we are looking to develop a new and improved Version 2 of this Practical Guide in time and any critical feedback is welcomed.

Re: Conference Speaker on Changing Behaviour?

Hi Pam. This comment comes well after your request in 2011 for contacts to present at your conference. However, I wanted to let you know that the Invasive Animals Cooperative Research Centre (and others around Australia) are in the early stages of adopting the CBSM approach with a focus on increasing community engagement in invasive animal management. And we are VERY interested to know about other people doing work applying CBSM to invasives and wildlife management. Cheers Patty For further contact my email address is [email protected]
