Inspiring and influencing behaviour change is paramount in all my work-paid and volunteer. Whether it's conserving Māori cultural sites, repurposing heritage bridges and tunnels that tell the unique technological and engineering challenges of building roads for NZ's topography, or creating momentum among community groups and students to get involved in collective programmes of pest trapping, weed control, water catchment and biodiversity including working with iwi/hapū. One of our biggest current challenges is the threat to survival of native kiwi and other species by dogs and cats- many of which are domestic pets- in an area valued for its beaches, bush, baches, lifestyle and recreation.
