The LWC was formed in 2001 to share information, to help address watershed management issues, and to provide a framework for coordination and cooperation among watershed interests. The LWC strives for a sustainable and healthy ecosystem that provides a strong socio-economic base for communities in the watershed. It supports better stewardship of natural resources and an improved understanding of the local biodiversity.
