I've just started in this role which aims to change behaviours in commuting/transport/traffic around schools. We aim to get more people to choose active transport (walking, cycling, scootering) and public transport (buses & trains) over using cars, and also help improve traffic safety around schools. The role sits in the in the context of the Climate Change Response BU, so in addition to safety, reducing carbon emissions is a goal. My colleagues and I are supporting infrastructure projects like new bike lanes with behaviour change initiatives and advice, to ensure the uptake and success of those projects.
