I volunteer on the Upper Missisquoi and Trout Rivers Wild & Scenic Committee. We allocate federal funds through grants to our local communities to maintain and improve our rivers for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike. We also host events such as paddling trips, paddling instruction, the Missisquoi River Paddle and Pedal, river cleanup, a speaker series, and a Wild & Scenic Film Festival. My career in communications and storytelling guides me in the ways I try to increase community engagement. My love for the written word, used in conjunction with community activities and environmental stewardship, helps me connect people with a sense of place.
