Kera Abraham Panni (she/her) specializes in nonprofit communications, outreach, and community engagement for positive impact. Driven by her commitment to social equity and environmental stewardship, she mobilizes action to protect the natural world, and all of us who depend on it.
In her prior career as a print journalist, she reported on complex issues at the intersection of culture and conservation, receiving multiple first-place national awards from the Society of Environmental Journalists and Association of Alternative Newsmedia. Kera has a BA in environmental science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MA in magazine journalism from the University of Oregon.
Kera’s volunteer work includes service on the International School of Monterey’s Board of Trustees, where she championed the implementation of a more equitable admissions system, and the City of Seaside Environmental Commission, where she co-led the development of a local ordinance to reduce plastic pollution. She lives with her family in California and delights in secondhand fashion, sourdough baking, and hikes in wild places.
